10 Minute Kashmiri Tea (Pink Tea) Recipe | Samaara Tea

In this blog we are telling you the recipe to prepare Pink Kashmiri Chai also known as Gulabi Chai. 

But don’t worry, you don’t have to go all the way to Kashmir to get the authentic tea leaves of this beautiful and appealing kashmiri pink chai. We will tell you the recipe to make it in a convenient way, at home, without any hassle.

    How to make Gulabi Tea / Pink Tea Kashmiri ? 

    You won’t believe how easy the kashmiri pink tea recipe is. Take a look 

    Ingredients of Kashmiri Pink Tea 

    • Water - 4 cups
    • Samaara green tea leaves
    • Cardamom - 2 
    • Cloves - 4
    • Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
    • Star anise - ½ 
    • Baking soda - 1 tsp
    • Ice cold water - ½ cup
    • Milk - 1 cup
    • Sugar (or any other sweetener of your choice)
    • Pistachios - chopped (for garnish)

    Method to make Kashmiri Pink Tea 

    1. Add water to a pan and add Samaara green tea leaves.
    2. To this the spices - add 2 cardamom, 4 cloves, 1 inch of cinnamon stick, ½ star anise.
    3. Let this concoction boil now. 
    4. Once it is boiled, add 1 tsp of baking soda and then keep stirring the mixture for 10-12 minutes on low-medium flame.
    5. The stirring has to be done till the mixture is reduced to half in quantity. 
    6. When this is done, add ½ cup of ice cold water in the pan and cook it for another 5 mins while continuously stirring the mixture.
    7. Strain the mixture and our concoction is ready. 
    8. Now, for preparing the tea with milk, Add 1 cup of milk to a pan, and bring it to a boil
    9. Pour this milk in a cup.
    10. Add the tea concoction we had made earlier to the milk and see the milk turn into light pink colour.
    11. Add sugar or any other sweetener of your choice to it.
    12. Garnish with chopped pistachios and enjoy.

    This pink chai will soothe you and will prove to be a good change on some days you feel trying something new.
